- Charles is married to Patricia. They have one child, Marnie Morrison, and three grandchildren, Arianna (7), Jaden (5), and Schellie (3).
- He is retired from the Kentucky Truck Plant and is active at Bethhaven Baptist Church.
- He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga, CVA 60, 1955-1957.
