R. Joyce Forcht, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023.
She was born on July 15, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles and Pearl Stribling. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Forcht.
Joyce retired after 43 years of employment with the University of Louisville and Metropolitan College "UPS". While at the University of Louisville, she enjoyed working the students; spending most of her career in academic advising, undergrads and athletes. The last nine years of her employment she assisted with the development of Metropolitan College; a program with UPS, the University of Louisville and Jefferson Community and Technical College.
Joyce is survived by her loving son, Charles A. Forcht, grandsons, Evan (Cassidy Leigh) Forcht and Erik (Cassidy Ellen) Forcht, great grandchildren, Axel Forcht and Charlotte Forcht and her brother, Kenneth R. (Linda Coy) Stribling.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville with burial of cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery to follow.
