  • Louisville - Mrs. Marilyn Annette (Akridge) Thompson, 77, died on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Louisville at Norton Brownsboro Hospital with her family at her side

 

  • Mrs. Thompson was a longtime member of Little Flock Baptist Church and served in several ministries. She was employed for 27 years at St. Joseph and Audubon Hospitals, 3.5 years at Jewish Hospital and 14 years at Lantech. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Miller Akridge and Robert Akridge. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 57 years and 9 months, Charles R. Thompson, Louisville; sons,
  • Richard A. Thompson (Barbara), Taylorsville, and Andrew W. Thompson (Sandra), Taylorville; granddaughter and the love of her life, Amy L. Thompson; brother, Robert Akridge (Angela), Taylorsville and several cousins, nieces and nephews Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 12pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 1pm until 8pm and Tuesday from 10am until the time of the service.
