- I have been married to Marvin Oliver (Manual HS) since 1960. He recently retired and is doing consultant work for his former employer. We live in Louisville; have four children and six grandchildren. I am retired from the Archdiocese of Louisville where I worked in various positions including Ecumenical Director. I enjoy gardening, Bible Study, and being with my grandchildren.
- We recently purchased a place in Florida in a 55+ community where we spend as much time as possible. We usually go to Florida 5-6 weeks at a time... can't be "snowbirds", because we would miss seeing our grandchildren! Besides, my mother is still living, still doing well, and lives around the corner from us... by herself! She visits us in Florida, but we don't want to leave her here alone too long at a time!
- I spend a lot of time volunteering for an organization called "Second Chance @ Life", which promotes organ and tissue donation. The waiting list is much too long, and we need to do all we can to decrease that list!
- Has it really been 50 years?! Some days it seems like yesterday... some days 100 yrs.!
HEAVEN KNOWS WE NEED THEM HERE!
