James “Beau“ Walker Sr
- He was an Army/Air Force veteran of 30 years with the rank of master sergeant, former radio announcer for WINN, WVEZ and WAKY, he coached girls basketball at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, boys baseball at Beechmont, was an auxiliary member of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, volunteer at Saintly Treasurer and Sisters of Charity Candy for Caring.
- He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara A. (Brumleve) Walker; sons Andrew C. Walker, James S. Walker Jr. (Tracy) and Kenneth D. Walker (Julie); grandchildren Brittney M., Jon-Michael, Jacob and Travis Walker (Katie); and special family friend Renea Briggs.
- Funeral service will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with cremation to follow. Inurnment will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday.
