- Louisville - William L. "Bill" Stewart, 80, of Louisville passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021 at Baptist Health Palliative Care in Louisville. He was born October 14, 1940 in Horton, KY to the late Herman W. and Mary Louise Scott Stewart.
- Bill obtained his Bachelor's Degree in English from Bellarmine University. He had a lucrative career with State Farm Insurance for 38 years where he was a Claims Team Manager. He held a CPCU, CLU, and AIM through State Farm. He was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel. Bill was an avid reader and a car enthusiast.

- Bill cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Virginia "Jenny" Jeffries Stewart. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. Bill was a man who was focused on kindness. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful storyteller. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and acquaintances he met over the years.
- He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl Stewart.
- Bill will forever be in the hearts of those he left behind. He is survived by his loving wife, Jenny; son, William D. Stewart (Pamela), daughter, Sherri Trinler (David), his God-child, Michele Simms (Steve), and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Jackson,and Kaitlyn Stewart, and Jacob Trinler.
- Funeral services for Bill will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, July 2 at the funeral home.
