Moved to NJ became Area Sales Mgr. For Artex Hobby Products for all of NJ and NE Pennsylvania
Moved to TN: Became a Real Estate Agent in Memphis
Moved to NC: Was Secretary to National Sales Mgr.- Ink company until office closed - became Church Secretary Mint Hill NC
Moved to Hickory NC: Became caretaker to both my parents and My mother-in-law until they died.
Other: My young children were my full time job - I worked part time. I did not take another 9 to 5 job until the youngest was in Jr. High. I was a soccer, baseball, basketball & softball Mom. I was an active volunteer in church, scouts and kids sports. I have sung in church choirs every place we have lived. I have participated in groups that play cards, bunco, canasta or other social type games. I attended community colleges and universities one or two nights a week for over 30 years. I now volunteer at a Benevolence Center that feeds the poor.
- My
hobbies have changed over the years. My first was
sewing for the kids and myself. I next took up all
types of needlework and painting on fabric. This led to
acrylic painting-mostly clowns. I took up writing
fiction in 1981. I have completed 4 novels, 18 short
stories (not published) and four plays (3 of which have
been performed on stage). I continue to write, but enjoy
inventing new and original recipes and cooking.
Since retirement, I golf, throw darts, play
shuffleboard, line dance, sing in a 100 member choir that
travels in Florida, perform in community plays and
musicals, do aerobic and pool exercise and travel.
I am also a "Red Hat" and watch my
husband play softball.
Travel: Most of the U.S., both sides of Canada, several areas of Mexico, most Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, the Netherlands, Greece, Great Britain. Thailand, and leave in October for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
