Charles "Buddy" Haddaway

     

  • "Buddy" Haddaway and Carolyn Keys (widow Albright) were married in 1999. Both are retired now and live in Shelby County, Kentucky.
  • After high school, "Buddy" earned both bachelor and master degrees in civil engineering from
  • He worked 45+ years as a professional engineer with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Louisville Districts, mainly in construction and supervision.
  • He has five phenomenal children from a previous marriage—three sons and two daughters. Plus 15 grandchildren. Carolyn (raised in Breckinridge County) has three children from her previous marriage —two sons and a daughter. Plus two granddaughters.
  • Both "Buddy" (called Charlie by his wife) and Carolyn are members of Southeast Christian Church.
  • Charlie says, "The West End was a great place to grow-up and Shawnee was an admirable school. I fondly remember so much of those incredibly wonderful days. Old SHS gave me a strong foundation for my courses in college. To all my SHS friends, I love you and God bless.

 

  • Charlie is an Eagle Scout and Wood Badge trained and still works with the B.S.A. He is an avid genealogy researcher of his ancestors. He can bore you to no end, but a help to those who are seeking answers on their own family tree. He is a member of several genealogy societies. Other hobbies consist of philately, numismatics, church activities, observing grandkids’ sports, reading, traveling, stock market, and watching TV. All these keep Charlie busy.
