- My husband Howard and I will celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary in August and still live in Shively. We have six great children, three sons & three daughters, plus six beautiful grandchildren ages 2-12 that we love to spend time with.
- I have been a stay at home Mom, typed part time for a neighboring attorney for 16 years. Volunteering has always been a big part of our lives. St. Helen Catholic Church has been our parish for 41 years, so being a part of many activities, school & church, has been the norm. Recently have been helping with St. Vincent DePaul Society. Over the years I have enjoyed, sewing, cross-stitching, quilting and my biggest passion was being the family genealogist of not only my ancestors but also of my husband's ancestors too. As families are forever and never end, it is always interesting meeting new family kin, either by writing or in person.
- Being a care tender for my younger brother for seven years was also part of our lives. After second surgery for cancer forced my husband into early retirement, we have enjoyed trips to Disneyland, three family vacations in South Carolina, and visiting oldest son whose job has required moving about every three years (Penn.-twice, Mass. & Canada).
- At Shawnee High School we had some wonderful teachers who tested us to our fullest potential and would be proud of all of our accomplishments. When four of our children were in high school at Bishop David and Holy Cross, ran into a math teacher, Mr. Larry Clem, son of our principal Robert Clem. I thought of the old saying, what goes around comes around.
