| Shirley lives in
Louisville and is married to Gerald Adkins. She has a
stepson, Greg Adkins, 36, and two sons, Tom Black, 36,
and Jeff Black, 32. There are five grandchildren, Joshua
Adkins, 13, Ryan Black, 8, Michael Black, 5, Stephen
Black, 3, and Sydney Black, 2. She has recently retired from General
Electric as an Administrative Assistant.
She says, "At General Electric
since 1969; in my third season as a volunteer usher at
Actors Theatre; have taken two Caribbean cruises in the
last four years and loved them both; spend as much time
with my family as possible."
