  • LEHR, CARL W. JR., 67, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at his home. He was a retired government inspector for the Ford Motor Company Kentucky Truck Plant and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Carl was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church and the University of Louisville Alumni Association. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lehr; two children, Carla McCabe (Steve) and Brandon Lehr (Debra); three grandchildren whom he adored, Ashley, Joshua and Jared; two brothers, Mark A Lehr (Cissy) and Kirk E. Lehr (Sandy). Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 in the Sanctuary of Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Road. Entombment with Military Honors will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from noon-2 and 3-8 p.m. Sunday in the Parlor of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road. Memorial gifts may be made to Westport Road Baptist Church or Disabled American Veterans.
