2024 Obituary Continued
- Gloria Jean Worf passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 6th, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born October 13, 1942, in Louisville, Ky to her beloved parents Charles and Dorothy Dalton. She was a 1960 graduate from Shawnee High School. She was an avid bowler and a self-taught pianist. Ms. Worf had retired from JCPS after 27 years as well as a former employee of the Avenue. She loved watching Kentucky Wildcats basketball, the World Series, playing cards, family game nights, daily phone conversations with her sister and most of all, her grandchildren.
- In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty and dog Molly.
- She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Williams (Steve) and Kimberly Mattingly (Mark); Sister, Gwen Hobbs; grandchildren, Charles Beams (Sarita); Kristin Beams (Frankie); Dylan Geary, Autumn Mattingly, Sydney Mattingly, and Macy Geary; and great grandchildren Madison Beams, Daxton Bryant, and Adalyn Beams.
- A private memorial service in honor of Gloria will be held with her immediate family.
