John is married to Pamela. They have four children, Cara, Julie,
Elizabeth, and Misty. They also have seven grandchildren,
Jessica, Andrew, Emily, Erica, Seth, Eric, and Nicole,
and one great-granddaughter, McKinese.

- JEFFERSONVILLE - Balz, John P., 71, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013.
John retired from LG&E after 37 years of meter reading. After retirement,
he was a professional house painter and shared a love of horse racing. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Annabelle Balz.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Balz; four daughters, Cara Priddy (Dale),
Julie Aters (Zachary), Misty Gomez and Elizabeth Balz; six siblings;
nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, October 16, 2013
at Scott Funeral Homes North Chapel, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 4-8 p.m.
and after 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy can be made to
Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. -
