- Vonda Joy Anderson Curry was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Shawnee High School and Catherine Spaulding University. Joy enjoyed a successful nursing career that spanned four decades. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marjorie Anderson, and her devoted husband, Marvin E Curry Sr. She is survived by her three children, Jennifer Curry, Sarah Rudy (Erik), Marvin “Bo” Curry (Rachel), sister Gay Shoaf ( Joe), niece Nicky Carter (John Papanek), and her four grandchildren, Jackson, Noah, Vincent Curry, and Aberdean Rudy.
