Barbara Blissit Jackson
- I was widowed last fall after 47 years of marriage to James R. "Bob" Jackson. I have two daughters, one residing in Louisville and the other one in Charlotte, NC. I have no grandchildren at this time - only "granddogs".
- I lived with my husband for 25 years on a small farm in Ekron, KY raising cattle, gardening and just really enjoying the rural community life.
- Over the years I have been a secretaray, bookkeeper, office manger, etc. I was one of the original employees of Allied Machinery, Inc. - distributor for WABCO earthmoving equipment and later the Komatsu distributor for this region of the United States. The company was sold after 20 years and I started working for the treasurer of the company, a CPA in Louisville. I am still working part-tme for him.
- Many years of my life was spent as care givers for both of our parents. In later years I enjoyed fishing and riding our Gold Wing Trike. We were members of GWRRA in Elizabethtown, KY. My time is now spent working, maintaining my home, caring for my two dogs and adjusting from a life of "we" to one of "me".
- The notice of this class reunion came last summer when Bob's cancer was beginning to take its toll. He saw the letter on the table an remembered we had only gone to the 10 year reunion. He asked that I go to this one, knowing he would not be with me.
